Small Estate Document Checklist

Pick a state to build its document checklist. Every item is verified for that state in the banked research. Where a document is not verified for a state, the result says so instead of copying a generic list.

How to read the result

  1. Only verified items appear. A death certificate appears only where the statute, form, or court guidance in the banked research requires it for that state. Its absence from a list means it was not verified, not that it is never needed.
  2. Read the notes. Notes state where a requirement lives in the form lane only, where a figure is unresolved, and where a county form differs from the statute.
  3. Check the state guide for the full packet. Some states add county forms, vehicle forms, and creditor papers that belong to separate lanes. The state directory links every guide.
  4. A checklist is not a filing decision. Confirm the current form revision with the issuing office before filing.

Required documents from research files A412 through A460 in the Veldica Traffic Ledgers backlog, with closure files A455 through A460 superseding base files where they correct a figure. Generic checklist items appear only where the cited research verifies them for that state; otherwise the entry says not verified. Open flags and omissions are disclosed in the result text. Facts verified 2026-10-31 through 2026-11-02.
